The Department of Health and Rehabilitative
Services is a government facility incorporating more than 160 offices, a Blind Services
Cafeteria, Food Stamp Issuance Office and Vault, Conference rooms, and a courtyard. The
front of the building has an unusual design, which emphasizes the entrance to guide
visitors in the right direction. The long shape of the building is softened by geometrical
patterns, arches, and variations in the roofline. The facility is handicapped accessible
and has Life Safety, communications, and security systems.
