- Camp O'The Pines
- Owner: Pensacola Christian College,
Inc. S.F.: 49,000
Location: Molino, FL
- Completion Date: Summer 1998
Description:
- The Camp O’ the
Pines has more extensive amenities than a typical camp, since it will be
used year round by a variety of groups. An important goal of the
project was to make the facility comfortable for adult retreats, yet fun
and exciting for children attending the summer camp.
The cabins, each
with its own restroom and shower facilities, bunk room, and day room,
provide plenty of space for up to 287 people at once. The cabins have a
rustic character, with wood paneled walls, high sloped ceilings, and
plenty of windows and skylights.
The Bell Tower,
shown, overlooks the lake and provides a shady area to watch people
canoeing and fishing. It serves as the visual focal point of the camp,
and mirrors the architectural style of the rest of the building.-
